January SEPAC Meeting - Wednesday, Jan 21st 2015 TRANSITION TIMELINES

Wednesday, January 21st @ 7:00pm -The January Georgetown SEPAC meeting will be held at the Georgetown Middle/High School, 11 Winter St. This is an informative workshop: TRANSITION TIMELINES, given by the Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport. What can families do to prepare their sons and daughters for the future? This small group discussion will provide a guide for the transition years, the process, checkpoints and essential timelines. These include postsecondary education, vocational education, integrated employment (including supported employment), continuing and adult education, adult services, and independent living. This workshop will demystify these laws and provide the tools and strategies to develop effective transition plans with your IEP Team. Learn about how a vision statement can guide the IEP.
