2016-2017 Welcome to the Georgetown SEPAC!!!

Would you like to get involved with the Georgetown SEPAC (Special Education Parents Advisory Council)? The SEPAC’s mission is to work for the understanding of, respect for, and support of all children with special needs in the community. Any questions will be welcomed at georgetownsepac@yahoo.com. The SEPAC meets monthly, and the 2016-2017 Meeting Schedule through December is as follows: Thurs., Oct. 6, 7:30-8:30pm – Basic Rights Workshop with Attorney Tim Sindelar at Flatbreads Pizza, Georgetown. Vote on SEPAC Leadership Wednesday June 15th at Dunkin Donuts

Join us to vote on the next SEPAC leadership - Wednesday June 15, 2016 9:15-10:15 AM or 7:15 - 8:15 PM at Dunkin Donuts in Georgetown. Anonymous ballot - it will take 5 minutes of your time. We will be voting on a Chairperson and a Treasurer for the 2016/17 school year. The following people have been nominated for positions: Tom Stewart, Nominated for Chairperson and Chantel Pszenny, Nominated for Treasurer. If your child is currently on an IEP or 504 plan, you are eligible to vote. Thank you for your vote!

Looking for an opportunity to make a difference for children & families with special needs right here in Georgetown? The position of SEPAC Chair is open and waiting for a caring, motivated individual who would like to serve. If you are interested, please contact our Director of Special Education, Dr. Donna Straight. We wish to offer our deepest thanks and gratitude to Shelby Walker, for her many years of dedicated service as Georgetown SEPAC Chair! So many people have benefitted from her kind support, as well as her generous sharing of time, legal expertise and understanding of how schools, families & students can most effectively work together to help our children!
Future scheduled Georgetown SEPAC meetings for the 2015-2016 school year, including those on April 12, May 10th & June 14th have been cancelled.
